Past residencies: Dream / The Loft DC - Monthly Omar might be a new school member but don’t sleep ‘cause he has old school flava burstin’ out the seams.This man can lay down the pimp hand and work the floor all night long. With crazy twisted stabs, sick primal drums and dark percussive beats, he rocks the house and leaves with the freaks. Omar’s roots were deeply influenced by the drum, having grown up listening to the bottom-heavy percussive styles of Middle Eastern, and Latin music. He now takes that sound throwing in such modern rhythmic ingredients as dark progressive, deep house, acid house, techno, tech house, and finally deep & sexy New York progressive, then serves it up Pimp Hand Dejour. Omar has brought his sounds to DC venues such as Dream nightclub, Andalu, Ozio, Vida, H2O, and Dragonfly among others as well as abroad overseas.
